Once you've used laughter to disable over-eating triggers, you'll want delicious healthy recipes to replace heart-heavy food. For example, try:

Hearthwarming Pumpkin-Pear Crunch

2     cups cooked, mashed pumpkin flesh (no strings attached!)

or 2 cups canned pumpkin

1/2 teaspoons salt

1     teaspoon pumpkin pie spice


1/2 cup sugar equivalent

1     pear, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces

1/4 cup dry oats

1     teaspoon cinnamon

2     tablespoons roasted pumpkin seeds 

or 1 tablespoon sliced almonds (optional)

1     tablespoon water


With fork or rubber spatula, whip together pumpkin, salt, 

pumpkin pie spice and 1/2 cup sugar equivalent.


Fold in pears. Place in pie pan which has been sprayed 

with non-stick spray.


In small bowl, combine oats, cinnamon and water. Sprinkle 

oat mixture over pumpkin-pear mixture. Sprinkle sliced 

almonds or roasted pumpkin seeds over all.


Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350, bake for 

25 more minutes. Serve with "lite" whipped topping if desired.
